Greatwood is located off U. S. Highway 59 about 24 miles southwest of Houston and five miles south of Sugar Land in northeastern Fort Bend County. The planned community of 2,050 acres began about the late 1980s or early 1990s and is a project of developer Newland Communities. This regulation length course offers golfers 18 holes surrounded by lush green woods with four sets of teeboxes offering challenges for golfers of all levels.
